Description:
The International Renewable Energy Certificate, commonly known as the International Green Certificate or I-REC, serves as a certificate of consumption for electricity generated by renewable energy projects. Each I-REC corresponds to 1,000 kWh (kilowatt-hours) of renewable energy, which is equivalent to 1 MWh (megawatt-hour) of green electricity. Every time an I-REC is issued or traded, it signifies that 1,000 kWh of renewable green electricity has been connected to the grid or consumed by an end-user.

Highest International Recognition: The I-REC meets all major international standards, including the Greenhouse Gas Protocol (GHGP), Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), and the RE100 initiative for 100% renewable energy. It is recognized globally as a standard for recording renewable energy consumption and is purchased by renowned companies worldwide to offset the carbon emissions from their purchased electricity.

Strongest Market Liquidity: The I-REC international green certificates can be freely transferred and traded multiple times globally before cancellation. A vast number of carbon intermediaries, financial institutions, and end-users participate in this process, creating a vast and robust secondary market.

Applicable Geographic Scope:
The I-REC is applicable in various regions, including Asia and Europe (such as Turkey, Saudi Arabia, China, India, Japan, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines), South America (Brazil, Argentina, Chile), Africa (Egypt, South Africa, Congo), and Oceania.
